Wildflower Seed Harvesting
We currently manage and maintain hundreds of acres of wildflower flora throughout the growing season. Our work spans from sowing and nurturing diverse wildflower plots to harvesting seeds that support biodiversity, conservation, and restoration efforts. While our busiest period runs from May to October, we do offer limited availability to assist with external wildflower seed harvesting projects during this time, depending on location and crop readiness.
One of our longstanding partnerships is with Seedtech, one of Ireland’s leading grain and grass seed suppliers. We have played a key role in developing and harvesting wildflower seed for their environmental offshoot, Connecting to Nature, which focuses on biodiversity and pollinator-friendly seed mixes. Our machinery and team have even featured in their promotional campaigns, showcasing the collaborative effort that goes into high-quality native seed production. We sowed, maintained and harvested crops for Seedtech, a major grain and grass seed supplier and it’s offshoot ‘Connecting to Nature’ in wildflower seed production, you may even see our staff and combines in their promotions.
We’re proud to support a wide range of ecological and conservation projects.
For example, we harvest heather seeds on behalf of Waterford City and County Council for use in soil restoration projects on the Comeragh Mountains. These seeds help repair upland areas damaged by erosion or overgrazing. On this project we mostly harvest heather seeds to support native habitats.
We harvest peatland species for the NPWS at Boora and the Game Council of Ireland used for nest site conservation. These species play a vital role in creating suitable environments for ground-nesting birds and other wildlife, contributing to the preservation of Ireland’s unique ecosystems.
Whether you are managing a large-scale biodiversity project, a conservation area, or a private estate,  we offer expertise, equipment, and native seed resources to meet your needs. Our team is passionate about the protection and promotion of Ireland’s native wildflowers and is committed to sustainable practices at every stage of the process.
Hand Picked or Local Species?
We offer hand-picking of rare species to operating modern harvesting equipment capable of managing large-scale wildflower crops.
