Pollinator Perfect
Pollinator Perfect
All the wildflowers we produce are Pollinator perfect, as nature intended.
Some of our wildflower species are wind pollinated.
Bees n Bugs visit flowers, attracted by colour, smell and proximity to the last flower the insect was on. They feed or collect, (just like seed pickers) and in return, they collect and pass on the plants pollen to the next flower when they visit it. Vibration and touch also play a role in attracting pollinators. Plants they never cease to amaze!
When CUT SHORT wildflowers flower again, the more cuts the shorter they can grow and are stressed out and flower as much as they can. this is good for bees and pollinators as they need flowers not flowers going to seed and shriveling up.
When Cut mid-High as all or each flush of flowers fades, , Wildflowers re-flower far later in the season, but that early cut reduced height.
ONE CUT usually at summers end, allows the flora to grow to its natural height, but does not favour smaller species unless they are specialists in grassland.
