GF03 is a general mix of easy to grow species, perennials intended for nationwide use.
GF03 is a mid high to tall mixture, long flowering, multi-seasonal, pollinator attracting. Suited to any Irish county, where the soil texture is open and crumbly. Will grow on moist soil, but is ideally suited to dry soils in full sun. Not intended for any shaded or very wet places.
Get close up to Pollinators. When flowering, spot the mirage of translucent colours on the smallest bugs that visit, they are an amazing delight. To keep flowering, simply remove flower heads when fading, and if there is any unloved or unwanted species, remove the seed head before it goes to seed and spreads. As the flower heads fade away, keep pruning or ‘dead head’ away to encourage more flowers for pollinators. In Winter, the dead flower stems will make great bug hotels, as were told that bugs, if to thrive and return each year, need beneficial flora close together with a place to build their homes. And thrive they will with this mixture, we promise.
